4 Programming Applications for Children
Programming is improving and being more popular day by day. That became of learning programming skills for the new generations. That’s why parents want to educate their children for programming, beginning from childhood because programming is based on algorithms, and thinking with algorithms can be a problem for the older generations. In this article, we ordered 5 applications for children to improve their programming skills.
Scratch Jr.
Scratch can be the most popular application in all programming applications for children. The kids can start coding by blocks and they can create their animations or even games.
Scratch presents the coding term and tools (if conditions, cycles, etc.) with blocks. So kids just drag and drop the blocks for creating animations.
Kodable
Kodable is another app for children when they want to study programming. Kodable is for more older children like 6 years old or more. Every lesson comes with instructional materials, a list of related vocabulary words, and other extra materials. The approach is also very game-like with users being able to choose a character to go through the levels.
Tynker
Tynker is an application that is similar to Scratch, but differently, it focused on teaching the skills instead of making applications or animations like Scratch. But for high school students, Python also can be in the education schedule.
Bee-Bot
As we can understand from the name of the application, Bee-Bot is an application that allows children to learn the basics of programming with a bee figure. Progression within the app will allow students to develop their knowledge whilst solving complex challenges throughout the different aspects of the game.
